European Sketches 1995-2006

Cameras are great for capturing the moment. But 'plein-air' sketches for me capture the spirit, colour and feel of a location far better. All of the pictures below were drawn on-site. Mind you, gusty weather, sunburn, cold/cramped/damp bottom, tourists and children peering over your shoulder, nuclear war, rabid aardvarks etc. can be some of the hazards... especially if they happen all at the same time
