European Sketches 1995-2009

Cameras are great for capturing a static moment. But 'plein-air' sketches for me allow the spirit, colour and feel of a location to be described far better. All of the pictures below were drawn on-site. Mind you, gusty weather, rain, sunburn, cold/cramped/damp bottom, tourists and children peering over your shoulder etc. can be some of the hazards... especially if they happen all at the same time
