| Apparently on 8th October 1914 Levi Kisby had partaken of a few too many drinks. While out shooting birds he slipped and fell into Moreton's Leam, a canal near Whittlesey. However, he managed to swim to the bank, walked home and dried himself off. Tragically, he went out again and slipped for the second time into Moreton's Leam, this time with fatal consequences. |

My Great-grandfather Charles was a railway guard and apparently was known to stop his train at unauthorised points to pick up wealthy passengers. In return he received gifts of game. |
